This big 10 inch ceramic ashtray features Peter Max's classic "Love" graphic, which is one of his more desirable images. It is in perfect MINT CONDITION with no flaws. On the back side is a wonderful bonus: Peter Max's actual autograph, with an inscription that reads, "For Vicki's Love, Peter Max, 1968". The autograph is in black marker. Vicki's Love was a boutique in Memphis, Tennessee in the late 1960s. Also included, is a signed, hand written note from the owner of Vicki's, about the signing. The ashtray also has the "Iroquois China" mark. The back of the ashtray has a light sealer that was applied over the autograph, at some point in the past, to protect it. It has not affected the autograph, but small bits of the sealer has started to peel away (see photo) but this has not cause the item any harm. A wonderful example of the Pop Modern style of the 1960s and 1970s. This would make an excellent SKY'S-THE-LIMIT-GIFT for those special people on your Christmas or birthdays list.
