These cardboard photo-frames were very popular promo items in portrait studios of the period. The cover folds over and clips to the back to make the easel.  The frame measures 8 inches wide x 11 inches deep with an image size of 4-1/2 inches x 6-5/8 inches.  The front features black and silver printing on a light gray "modeled" paper stock. The photo slips in from the front and then the cardboard is glued down to hold in place (we like to use removable tape/dots from the hobby shop). The name of the portrait studio is printed in small lettering, and is located under the image area to the right. It reads, "The Carna Studio, St. Louis".  A beautiful frame in MINT condition.
