This big and heavy plaster piece measures 27-1/2 inches long x 17-1/2 inches tall x 6 inches wide. The subject is "Diana and the Hound" of Roman mythology. It features subtle air brushed painting on plaster in muted colors. The only markings are on the backside of the base and read, "1383" and "RD817935". No signature or maker noted. This is an exceptional piece and is certainly something you don't run across everyday. It is in VERY FINE condition, considering its age and the fact that plaster is fragile. The only flaws to report, are a small chip in the dog's front foot (see photo) and a very tiny nick, on the base, near the dog's back foot (see photo). The paint is 99.9% intact with the exception of a bit of flaking behind her, on the scarf (see photo). Inquire about shipping and ordering.
