Here is a wonderful old Donald Duck cookie jar from the 1940s. The production process included firing with a white glaze and then the highlights were"cold" painted. Because the highlights were not fired, the majority of these old Donald Duck cookie jars have lost their paint. This one, however, has its paint highlights 90% intact. The jar stands 11 inches tall and in VERY GOOD condition with no chips or cracks. There are two tiny manufacture's flaws: One the collar, and one on the tail, each resembling a small, smoothed over chip, but these are original in the production and very minor. Just above his tail, it is copyrighted by Walt Disney Productions. On the bottom it is marked "Celebrate" (showing a crown logo design) and copy that reads, "Made in the USA". Above the logo is what looks to read, "Patent Pend.", but not sure as it is hard to read. The cookie jar will be double boxed with lots of padding and will ship FedX ground with full-value insurance.
